Amy & Mark -- City Love

We met Amy and Mark (and their two adorable dogs) at a city park a couple of weeks ago for their engagement session. The location was perfect and supplied great weathered benches, grassy hills, a very cool pedestrian bridge, and some superb evening sunlight -- with the silvery towers of Houston's downtown area as a backdrop. For both claiming to be camera-shy, they did a wonderful job of mustering up the courage to help us capture some fresh, fun photos of them, pre-hitched. Their lovely ranch wedding will take place April 19 on land that has been in Amy's family for several generations -- WOW -- and will suit perfectly their simple, calm, and casual style. It's gonna be fabulous, we know it, because they're such a fabulous couple!

Thanks, guys, for being so friendly, fun, and easy to work with! We can't wait to see you tie the knot!!

Katharine & James - The Introductions!

Our first brave clients to take the plunge together and with us! We met them today for the first time - and WE ARE IN LOVE! Katharine is calm, organized, beautiful and so friendly. James is funky, very Irish, up for anything, and so dang agreeable! We could NOT have dreamed up a more perfect first couple to photograph. So excited!! Their wedding is a mix of the traditional and Rock Star Chic. Stay tuned for November 10, 2007!

Katharine and James are native Houstonians and met in a...uh...verrrrrry interesting way. Read on!
J.T. and I met on November 8, 2003. Of all things to bring two people together ours was a drive by shooting. I woke up to a gun going off and when I stepped out on my porch to see what was going on I saw what I thought was an old man wearing only boxers, getting in his car to chase the kids down. Come to find out that "old man" was J.T. Well, who knew that after many nights of sitting up waiting for the kids to come back we would fall in love. Our first date was a week or two later to see Elf (Sara adds: I LOVE ELF!!!!) WE moved in together shortly after that and we have been together ever since!

Interesting proposal tidbit that is too cute!
After accepting J.T.'s proposal, we celebrated over dinner at McDonalds and had apple pie for dessert. I wanted to eat somewhere that will be here 50 years from now so every year on May 22 we can eat at McDonalds! Cheesy yes...but I wouldn't have it any other way!
